The Island View Cottages have reopened, and we are excited to be hosting our guests and wonderful community again for the upcoming holiday season and beyond! We have diligently worked to ensure that every guest who arrives on our property continues to feel at home, and working hard to continue to create an environment where our guests wish that their weekend getaways would never end.

To accomplish this we relied on our amazing management staff, who ensured that no stone was left unturned in our preparation. We deep cleaned and ozoned each cottage, performed routine maintenance and larger-scale renovations that will enhance the quality of stay, and made sure to provide free amenities that are unrivaled in this industry. All of this was done with YOU, the Island View Community, in mind!

Go ahead and book your stay, because starting this week you can call to reserve your space! Remember: We don’t do same-day booking, and we have a 2 night minimum on all reservations (3 nights for holidays). We’re still maintaining our stringent housekeeping policies due to COVID, however we understand if you want to opt out of that service while you are enjoying your stay. Your comfort matters, so let our Inn Keepers know upon arrival.

We frequently get asked, “We love your property, but what comes with your stay?” To better answer that question we have prepared a comprehensive list of just some of the free amenities we provide for our guests. At the end of this article we also provided links to our Rates page, and an article on what’s inside each individual Cottage! So go ahead and check those links out too.

Read on to learn more about what it means to stay with an Island View!

The Island View Cottages:

Laundry room: This is for the use of our guests! Just ask our Inn Keepers about it, and you can do your laundry right on site. No need to travel anywhere else.

Croquet Set: We have the hoops, pegs, balls, and mallets. Ask and you can have the expansive property as your playground and play a round or few with your family and/or friends!

Bikes: Included with your stay, we provide bikes for you to explore the scenic Sebastian and Indian River area.

Wi-fi: Included with your stay, use it to listen to music while you lay in the sun, surf the web at night before bed, and look up hotspots and restaurants while you are here!

Canoe: Yes, you read that right. Canoes are included with your stay. You can go out and enjoy the scenic Indian River Lagoon any time you like!

Kayaks: Just like we wrote with our Canoes, if you inquire with our Inn Keepers about availability, you can go out and enjoy the scenic Indian River Lagoon on our Kayaks! Enjoy!

Boat dock (8 slips for guest use): Who doesn’t love fishing and relaxing? This is open to our guests, and if you have your own boat, and plan to go out and fish and enjoy the Indian River, we have space for you and your party to make this a reality!

Horseshoes: Ask our Inn Keepers and we can set up the game for you and your party to use on our property.

Hammock by Rivershore: One of the hallmark additions to the property, and something our guests will love to take photos on, use for social distancing, and relax and enjoy the weather.

2 hammocks on property: Additional lounging area. Take a nap, relax, and enjoy nature in your own hammock on our expansive property.

Screened porch: Located outside of the Social Room. Have a cup of coffee, enjoy a game night, take in the sunset, all from the comfort of our screened-in porch.

Free books and puzzles: We have you covered!

Grills on property: We have grills available if you would like to use for your party. We have several options as well (portable, charcoal, smoker, gas, and griddle).

Picnic tables: Enjoy the views while you eat.

Corn hole: This is one of our favorite outdoor games, and we have the boards ready and on stand-by in case you’d like to use them.

Yard Checker game: You read that right, we have a large-scale Checkers game that you can play outside on our property. Great if you are enjoying a Saturday out on our property or traveling with kids. Ask our Inn Keepers and they will help you.

Volleyball net and ball: If you traveled with family or friends, this is right up your alley. We can set this up, and even have a pump to take care of the Volleyball’s air pressure if the ball gets low after multiple Volleyball games. Just ask our Inn Keepers and we can assist you.

Social hour on Weekends: This is done to bring our guests together. We have wine/beer and soft drinks to provide an opportunity for you to chat and enjoy our outdoors, scenic views, and Social Room. This looks different now due to our enhanced safety policies, but we will still do something to treat our guests if our guests want to participate.

Firepit: This will be lit during some of our Social Hours, as well as some evenings when 1) Our residents ask for it to be lit, and 2) It’s cooler weather outside.

Dog run with supplies: These next few all have to do with man’s best friend. Did we mention we have Dog-friendly Cottages? Bring the whole family when you travel!

Dog bowls: Forget your bowls? We have you covered!

Dog towels: Did the dog run into the river? Get caught in the rain? Messy eater? Ask our Inn Keepers for some help, we are prepared!

Dog beds: Want something comfy for your dog at night? Forget their dog bed at home? We have extras, and we wash them and keep them clean regularly!

Tommy Bahama chairs and drink holders: Have you seen our sandy “beach” area down by the waters edge? We have comfy chairs, so dig your feet in the sand and enjoy the view.

Umbrellas: Ask and you shall receive.

Patio lounge chairs: Extra seating. We provide plenty of options to spread out and enjoy our property without having to be too close to other residents!

Fresh ground coffee: Coffee delivered to your room! Local, fresh, and delicious! Enjoy!

Orange juice: Available at check-in!

Fresh local fruit, fish dip: Located in your room at check-in!

And, best of all, the most attentive Inn Keepers/managers you can find anywhere: This goes without saying, but we are incredibly proud of the Island View Cottages and the fact the have the most attentive and most prepared Inn Keepers in the industry. We want to make sure that your stay is memorable and enjoyable, and will work tirelessly to accomplish that goal.
