At the Island View Cottages we are fully aware that you work hard day in and day out. We know that sometimes you need to get away from it all and put YOURSELF first for a change. At the Island View Cottages we know that you will occasionally be traveling with your canine companions. Make our home your home, as your pets are welcome here. We want to truly differentiate ourselves from the other “pet friendly” locales of the area, and in doing so we want to deliver something to our guests that no other property is offering . So while we love all of your pets, we want to establish ourselves as a truly “dog friendly” property, and we’ve cultivated some unique partnerships to help solidify our identity.

Native to Vero Beach, FL, South Paw Canine Massage treats every dog as family, and offers a, “personal and clinical approach to Massage Therapy.” These people are truly amazing, and through the use of actual scientific and medical knowledge, they provide pain management, mobility training, and an overall enhancement to your pet’s quality of life. Whether it’s to spoil your dog with some R&R, or addressing a legitimate health concern, they offer a variety of services that can be tailored to your specific needs.

No Pet? No Problem!

If you don’t have a pet, but would love to spend time with an animal who needs your love while you are here, then the H.A.L.O. No Kill Shelter may be just the place for you!

Who are they?

“H.A.L.O. Rescue was created in 2006 with a mission to create a NO KILL safe haven for abused and abandoned animals. H.A.L.O. believes in a community where there are no more homeless pets and that together we can eliminate the killing of companion animals. What sets us apart from other shelters is we are Indian River County’s only No Kill animal shelter. This means we do not euthanize for age, space, medical needs, or behavioral issues. Once an animal enters H.A.L.O. we make a pledge to them to provide all physical, emotional, and medical care needed until a forever home is found. While we primarily deal with Indian River County and our mission is to make Indian River County No Kill we also bring in animals all over the state and even outside of Florida.” – excerpt of the H.A.L.O.
