The Sebastian River Area is not only known for being home to Pelican Island, America’s first National Wildlife Refuge, but also for its unspoiled beauty, diverse fishing- from world class bass fishing to deep-sea fishing adventures, pristine waterways perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, and scenic pontoon & airboat tours, world famous surfing and skydiving, and abundant birding and wildlife viewing.
Our area is also well known for the rare antiquities that have washed upon its shores. The shipwreck from the 1715 Spanish Plate Fleet left many treasures along Sebastian’s coast. Treasure hunters continue to search our waters for gold, jewelry, and other artifacts lost in history. The Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway, which is 233 miles, encompasses the entire Sebastian River Area including Fellsmere.

Fishing – Not only is the Sebastian River Area known for its great offshore fishing but its waterways also offer some of the best inshore fishing. The Indian River Lagoon, North America’s most biologically diverse estuary, and the St. Sebastian River which is brackish contain species such as snook, redfish, trout, tarpon, and much more.
Sky Diving – Sebastian Skydive will accommodate your every need whether you’re a first time tandem skydiver, a student skydiver, an experienced RW or freefly skydiver or a skydive team in training.

Go to the Beach – Sebastian Inlet State Park has three miles of beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches. There is one mile of beach north of the inlet and two miles south of the inlet.
